Therapy, Counseling, Coaching for Women & Girls

Raizel Weiss Heitzer is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Transformational Psychotherapist in the States of Michigan and Colorado and a Nationally Certified Counselor.

Working primarily with women and girls to create the lives you dream of whether you have suffered trauma, sexual assault, other abuse, or simply want to grow as an individual. As women, we spend years fulfilling other's needs, living up to expectations… often losing precious bits of ourselves along the way. This work is of reclamation, of discovering who you are at this point in your life. What is most important now? What is missing? What nourishes, gives you energy? What doesn't? Transformation happens when you honor yourself and live with authenticity, integrity and intention. When you treat yourself impeccably. When you are nourished on all levels. When there is no fear of judgement we empower each other with greater self-respect, courage, acceptance, and compassion. The emphasis is on understanding how truly empowered we are within our own circumstances. Thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and beliefs are explored awakening a profound appreciation of how we live in and create our worlds. With 35 years of experience in the field of human potential it is my greatest privilege to meet you here and help you move to where you want to be.

Located in Colorado Springs, offering a safe and inspiring atmosphere to love, challenge, and accept yourself fundamentally and absolutely. Shannon, my therapy dog, may join us or not as you wish. As you let go of who you think you should be, space is created to become wholly who you are.

Why Women? Because Women are Special!

Coming from a family of three brothers, a strong father, two sons, a grandson, six nephews and no other girls, it is my joy to specialize in working with women! I am the only girl in our family for three generations (now have a new granddaughter!) and have been surrounded by men my whole life. Growing up we even had male dogs, big ones! As a girl what I wanted more than anything was a sister. As a mother my boys both started out with girls’ names until I found out their gender. When I was young I was very close to my girlfriends, a trait I carry with me today and which has saved my sanity on countless occasions. Now, I’m always sure to have at least one female pet in the house at all times!

Maybe it’s because of this I understand the needs of women so well. Growing up in a household of men and even as an adult with my husband and sons, I had to learn how to hold my own and stand up for myself. I discovered how crucial it is to honor my femaleness and carve out space for myself and time to be nourished.

I love women’s energy. My former husband was always amazed that I could go into a public restroom and come out with my new BFF! Women have always created their own communities. By sharing with each other we support each other. It brings me profound joy to be able to create a sacred space for women where magic and transformation happen. And, it happens every time simply because of the profound ways in which women are able to touch each other.
